European Parliament Agrees to Data Transfer Deal with US
In the ongoing dispute between Europe and the US over the transfer of private financial information of Europeans to US law enforcement agencies, the European Parliament has agreed to a revised proposal that would replace bulk data transfers with specific information requests. The Parliament has also required that European officials exercise greater control over the data transfer process.
