Senate Holds Hearing on Privacy and Mobile Services
The Senate Commerce Committee today explored "Consumer Privacy and Protection in the Mobile Marketplace." Chairman Rockefeller said that users of mobile services have "an expectation of privacy . . . a right to privacy." The FTC's David Vladeck stated that consumers face new threats in the mobile marketplace and described the agency's recent actions against Twitter and Google.
